This book has helped me realize that I love book series! Although Kaiden is the son of the demon of lust he keeps a barrier from Anna and does not try to overpass the start of their friendship. One thing I liked from the book was Kaiden and Anna’s relationship and how it develops. When I finished the book I found that there was a dictionary of all the demon names, but I had already finished the story. There were so many names that were unfamiliar to me that I found myself getting lost while reading. One thing that did not appeal to me was when all the demon parents were discussed. Her character does develop in the way that she is able to become more independent and as evil lurks she fends for herself. She remained the southern innocent girl everyone knew her by. I loved how sweet Anna was and even after meeting Kaiden she never changed for him. It isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage, she’s half-angel half-demon.Īt first reading the small summary in the back of the book it didn’t really catch my attention, but I decided to take it since I was waiting for another book to come back to the shelves. She can see auras and feel other people’s emotions, along with having unnaturally strong cravings for illegal substances that she’s never before tried. Her mother died giving birth to her in California, and she was adopted by a woman in Georgia named Patti Whitt.
